The word "terrible" has lost its original meaning and has come to mean "something bad." Actually, the original word comes from the same root as the root of the word "terror", which means "to strike fear in others." So something that is "terrible" is something that causes fear. I wish I had sources to cite, but I only cite my memory.

So your plan is so brilliant, it causes fear in others!
